Sauna – In the classic Finnish sauna the heat is achieved through “dry” high temperatures of between 80 and 100 °C with a relative air humidity of up to 15%.  The sauna helps to relax tired muscles and sooth a stressed brain as the body produces relief-inducing substances such as endorphins.

Steam – The steam bath is often confused with the sauna. However, the ideal temperature in a steam bath is between 40 and 55 °C, with humidity of up to 100 %. This makes it, compared to the classic sauna, more suitable for people with asthma, bronchitis and high blood pressure.

Whirlpool – This works on the principle of hydrotherapy – relaxing muscle tone, removing tension and stress, and improving overall immunity.

Infra-cabin

“Sauna bathing” in an infrared cabin is based on the principle of the emission of infrared radiation by special ceramic radiators. This infrared radiation warms up the body deep into the muscular tissue and induces intense sweating at a temperature of around 50 °C in an environment that does not burden the body.

Throughout the session in the cabin you are breathing air at a temperature of between 20 and 55°C, because 80-90 % of the radiated heat is absorbed by your body and only residual heat is dispersed into the cabin. This is the essential difference when comparing a classic sauna and an infra-sauna. The time spent in the sauna is up to the individual, and usually lasts 25 to 40 minutes at a temperature of 55 °C. During that time, your body burns around 700 calories with no effort at all. You should, however, begin with shorter sessions that can be gradually lengthened.
